There's rust you can see, and future rust (that's there already) that you won't see (inside the box-section of the frame, in the rocker panels just waiting to bubble through)...I'd never consider an eastern-Canada car, but that's just me.

Are you going to believe a dealer that says it wasn't? How would they know the history. Private, maybe, but dealer, no trust, especially long distance. Again, that's my opinion...YMMV.

BC cars typically have little to no issues...plus there's a lot of BC that isn't on the coast. But, if you want issue-free, a US car might yet be better still.

I read your reply a number of posts above re: costs to import, but airfare is airfare (likely cheaper one-way to the US than Quebec, or at worst, a wash either way), and with the dollar at near-par again, plus the importation requirements no longer requiring the changing of the front and rear bumpers, the only conversion issue is the installation of DRLs, the only fee is the 6% importation, and cost is a RIV inspection followed by the OOP inspection for your insurance (which again, is a wash, given where you're looking for a car).

So, half-price out of the US versus over-priced to full-price in Canada. I know where I'd be looking.
